Branson, Missouri in the Fall

Looking for an amazing fall vacation with lots of family togetherness?

Look no further, Branson, MO is the place for you!

Fall in Branson is such a beautiful and peaceful place to be.  There are also a lot of fun things to do as well.  Branson is right off of Table Rock Lake and in the rolling hills of South Missouri.  There are places to stay that are out of the way and with views of the lake and then there are places in town.  Many call Branson a little version of Vegas without all the casinos.  There is a show for everyone no matter your taste.

The places to stay that are on the lake offer many things to do for the outdoor person.  They offer canoes, paddles boats, paddle boards, boat rental and marinas.  It gives you a chance to have full use of the lake with touring around to skiing or knee boarding.  There are also condos to rent that come with a boat slip allowing you to bring your own boat to the lake.

Or you can stay in the heart of it all, The Strip in side Branson.  They have everything from small budget to elaborate lodgings.  If you stay in this area it makes it nice that you can get out and walk to a lot of the different store areas and restaurants.  One of my favorite fun attractions you can walk to is getting an old time photo done.

Along the strip is also fun shopping of all kinds.  There is an Outlet Mall, strip malls with all types of gift and novelty items.  As well as a whole shopping area set in another time and amazing stores, Grand Village Shopping.  One store is Christmas all year long.  I go every time for a new ornament.

Another area of town you can stay at either hotel or condo is at The Branson Landing.  This is a new area that has been updated over the years with outdoor shopping (Bass Pro, Disney Store & more).  They have also added a new zipline and balloon ride for the daring vacationer.  The fountains here are a show of their own just like Las Vegas.  It makes a great family outing or date night for mom and dad.  For the Halloween season they will have the below events scheduled:

October 31st – 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM – 8th Annual Safe Street Trick or Treat (for children ages 12 & under)
October 31st – 7:00 PM – Monster Mash Street Dance DJ’ed by SRM Productions

But you cannot forget about all the shows to go see.  There are 14 dinner shows where you can eat while seeing a show.  They range from musical, comedy, to chuck wagon to a little of both with the Dixie Stampede.  This totally transforms in the fall to a spectacular Christmas show you won’t want to miss.

There are over 100 other shows to go see while in Branson.  Some are seasonal, such as the Christmas shows and some are all year long.  You have the likes of the tribute shows to music from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and tribute shows to specific artists like the tribute show to George Strait.  They also have a lot of musicians who play certain times of they year there on a regular basis.  Some of those big names are Charlie Pride, Charlie Daniels Band, and Clint Black.

In the fall, Branson celebrates American heritage with craft and music festivals throughout the season. Major festivals like the 41st Annual Autumn Daze, the Branson
Landing’s Artisan Market, and Silver Dollar City’s Harvest and Cowboy Festival will showcase hundreds of top local and national crafters, merchants and entertainers. Come see these men and women work right before your eyes at the many live demonstrations and showcases!  These festivals all start in September and happen every year.

One of the main attractions to come and see is Silver Dollar city.  Right now they are having their Harvest and Cowboy Festival and then it’s the Old Time Country Christmas festival.

This fun festival includes a Wild West Show, Western Barn Dance, 125 craftsmen & artisans, western & bluegrass music, cowboy poets and much more.  Entry to the theme park includes this and all wonderful festivals held at Silver Dollar City.  The park is also full of rides and attractions for all ages!

Make Branson your next fall vacation getaway!
