Disney’s Polynesian Village is located on the south end of
the Seven Seas Lagoon, across from Disney’s Magic Kingdom. This was the first
Resort to open at Disney World in 1971, and it has been a fan favorite for
yEARS!
If you haven’t visited the Poly (as the locals call it) in a
while you may notice a few changes, the biggest one being the lobby. In the past the lobby was an over the top
lush water fall scene that made you feel like you had just walked into a
luxurious Hawaiian Resort. Since
Disney’s
Refurbishment, they have opted for a more manageable lobby display
with a lot more room for guests to lounge and check in.
Rooms at the Poly are very tropical, and well decorated. Amenities include, safe, coffee maker, fridge, iron and ironing board, in room phone, tv and remote, hair dryer
There are 2 pools at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the popular Lava pool (don’t worry despite its name, there is NO lava! Lol) and the quieter Oasis Pool. The Lava pool has a towering volcano, a waterfall and a thrilling 142 foot-long waterslide. A zero-depth entry point, similar to a beach, slopes gently into the pool making for easy entry and exit. Nearby, a lounge and bar offer refreshments and snacks. The Oasis Pool is an all-ages leisure pool that promises a more tranquil swim for those looking to relax and unwind.
