Mythos...a Must at Universal Orlando!

I was inspired to write another review of Mythos.  I confess, I've been there many times, and to see my last one, click HERE.  But, why not refresh the photos?

First, the entrance. I mean, it's cool.  That can't even be disputed.

This restaurant is always busy, so reservations are highly recommended, I have witnessed people getting turned away.

This restaurant is technically only open at lunch, but we've gotten reservations as late as 4/5 PM. Reservations are easy to make, ask your Travel Time agent to handle it for you, or go HERE.   Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance, it is one of the few Universal restaurants that you should plan ahead if you want to attend.

Once inside, the little waiting area is blissfully cool, air condition blasts full force, and they have flavored cold water in a dispenser for the pleasure of their hot guests.

We were seated in one of their neat booths.

I ordered the Tuscan Tomato Soup. It was DELICIOUS.  It might seem an odd choice on a hot day, but this restaurant is sufficiently cooled to make a hot meal enjoyable. At $4.99 I thought it was an excellent value.

I need to mention the condiments.  The ketchup can't come out in a tacky bottle, oh NO!  It comes out on a cute little fancy plate with individual servings. And the butter! One of the cutest things at Mythos is the stamped butter.  The bread is crunchy on the outside, and soft and warm on the inside. Perfect with the soup!

The Pressed Porchetta Panini was good, although I'm not sure it was good enough for me to choose it again next time.  Pork, apple butter, fontina cheese, red onions and arugula served with fries for $12.99.

The Mythos Signature Hamburger is topped with feta-olive aoli, $15.99.

The Crispy Crab Cake Sandwich, $12.99, has a house made remoulade sauce and is really a very good value.  It comes with potato salad (I substituted fries) and a tomato watermelon salad (not a huge fan but I don't like tomatoes).

The restaurant in general has a really great atmosphere, and for a restaurant with this type of food quality, service, and ambiance, it is surprisingly affordable!  Try it!
