Calling all Microbrew lovers to Disney’s Boardwalk Resort

Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival is going on now at the Walt Disney World Resort. This event gives guests the amazing opportunity to try some of the most delicious cuisines and fine wines(and sometimes beer) from around the world, but did you know that Walt Disney World actually has a working brew pub on property where you can get a variety of award winning ales & lagers all the time. Big River Grille & Brewing Works is a microbrewery and restaurant located on the picturesque boardwalk of Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, and is the only working brew pub on property. If you are traveling with someone who is a home brewer or someone who just loves a great microbrew Big River promises a great experience!

In a recent trip my husband and I visited Big River for lunch. Leo, a home brewer of about 4 years, was able to talk to the brew master. He offered tips and suggestions to Leo for making the perfect home brew, and yes, those tips and suggestions DID work. So, go ahead and strike up a conversation with a Cast Member you just may learn something new. They loved hearing about my husbands brewing experience so let them know about yours. Leo was also given the first pour from a newly tapped beer that was made on premise. It does not get any fresher then that folks! If you are passionate about brewing I suggest making some time for this gem on your Walt Disney World vacation.

There are multiple specialty ales that are brewed on premise so you can be sure you will find one you love. Rocket Red Ale is a favorite among guests. You can also indulge in American pub favorites like burgers and ribs. There also is a children’s menu, yes, Big River is family friendly! Priority seating is available and can be made by calling the restaurant directly at (407) 560-0253 or let your Travel Time agent take care of it for you. It is important to know that you cannot make reservations through Disney for this restaurant. Dining plans that include this location are listed below.
