Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney World, how to make the MOST out of this wonderful experience!

Hello! My name is Rachel and I am one of the travel agents with Travel Time withMickey!

My daughter recently turned 3 years old (in November) so you know what that means?? She is FINALLY (in her words) old enough to visit the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (we had previously only been to the Harmony Barber Shop but more about that in another blog).

December 2015 was a BIG deal Disney trip for my Daughter, Maddy. This was her birthday present, her first time at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party AND her first trip for a Princess Makeover!

First thing is first; if you are even considering taking your little one for a makeover, you or your travel agent should book your appointment 180 days out! No ifs, no buts, no coconuts! These spots fill up VERY fast. We chose the location in Cinderella’s Castle over Disney Springs (the prices are the same at both locations). We had an appointment time for 5:00 (before the Christmas Party started). Be sure to leave yourself plenty of time before your next Fast Pass, dinner reservation, etc. They are always running behind! Don’t get frustrated; just know that they are giving each child the Disney Magic they deserve!  The Fairy Godmothers in Training do not rush any child out of their chair! Each child is done when they are perfectly dressed for the ball (total time is about 30-45 minutes once in the chair).

Packages start at $60 and go up from there. We chose the $60 package which was hair (including tiara and clip), makeup, and nails (with glitter polish to take home) and a gift bag and sash (also on a side note, Maddys hair lasted in the princess updo for all 4 days of our trip). We brought our own Belle dress to add to the Magic. The prices go up as you add a T-Shirt, a Princess Dress, etc.

Photopass Photographers are on site to help you capture all of the magic as well! They do not link to your magic band at this time. You will get a physical card to add to your photopass account or to your Memory Maker. The photographers captured about 50 images for us while Maddy was getting her makeover (and yes as you can see she is VERY serious about getting to be a princess).

One more tip to make the most of your Princess experience…. Around the corner from the boutique (in the dress shop) is a little known room. Take advantage of this (we didn’t make it and I wish we had)! They will take professional pictures of your child after their makeover and add them to your BBB Photopass card OR your magic band! This is a FREE experience so use it!

I hope this helped to answer some of your questions regarding princess makeovers in the WDW parks/Disney Springs areas. Please reach out with any additional questions we can help answer! We look forward to seeing how your littles turned out!
